Would you like to name the cats in my next novel? The sequel to my current novel – Being Ethel (In a world that loves Lucy)- is going to have two cats in the story! From now until September 1st, anyone can suggest names for these two rambunctious felines who will appear as pets of Piper, the main character in the first story, who also appears in the new story. The new book- Being Dorothy (In a world longing for home) is slated to be out at the end of the year, and I will thank the winner(s) by putting your name in the front of my new novel. In addition, I’ll send you signed copies of both books, plus some other fun things in a thank-you package.
Names that will rise to the top:
♥ Understanding Piper Penn’s life, and what she might name the cats.
(Read or listen to: Being Ethel (In a world that loves Lucy) available everywhere as an eBook, paperback, or an audiobook. You can also ask your library to bring the book in!)
♥ Be creative and have fun, let me know why you think your names make the most sense for Piper! But, please no plot spoilers for anything mentioned on social media.
♥ Share this with your cat loving friends, the more the merrier! Share from my social media pages when you see the invitation come up to name the cats on those platforms.
Here's my Facebook page to follow.
It’s possible you could have your name chosen by having your suggestion picked for one cat and not the other, you’ll still receive the thank you gifts.
In the event we have many duplicates of the cat’s names that get chosen, I’ll send three thank-you gifts to three people per cat, picking the duplicate names out of a hat. All these picked names will be mentioned in the book. (How fun will that be to show to your friends and family!)
Send your names for these two beauties and your “why” to info@lakegirlpublishing.com and don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter at
